As is clear within this image I have attempted to look for somebody who has a reasonable representation of the man (David Grohl) who I used on my draft, this is because I liked the basic ideas of my draft such as images and this then allowed me to represent the rock genre in my magazine and as is clear to see I have included the prop of a guitar with the model who I have used. And I used somebody who looked like David Grohl as when I conducted research about rock people knew who he was and this was good as that’s what I wanted from my magazine, I wanted it to be recognisable so that it could be representational, and this was done through this. I also decided to use some who was younger than him because my product was targeted at the younger generation and it gives the magazine an overall better representation of the youth who follow the rock genre.
Although the image which I have selected of my model is not the same as used in the final design, it gives a close up image on what I though the typical rap artist would look like and as you can see he has representation of the actual rap artist and this will then represent the interests of the rap genre followers, this is important as it will enable me to complete one of the key concepts of my magazine which is to represent different genres of music within one magazine. I have also selected to use a younger artist as this represents the greater majority of people who would purchase my magazine and this would relate it to a more real life situation.
This image is the cover image, and I have selected an indie artist to base it upon, I have done this to represent the indie genre within my magazine and the indie social background , but this image is not of the main model as I wanted to create a contrast on the front page of rock, rap and indie so this is why this image is there and there is text about rock and rap on there as well, this is so that I could get the balance of representing rap, rock and indie in one magazine, and this allows me to complete one of the key concepts of my magazine which is representing 3 different genres within it. I have also used the image of a young person as the magazine is about freedom and being able to enjoy yourself so this is about the revolution of younger artists breaking through and making a name for themselves.
