My Artist is 17, her name is Jennie Michaels and she is into indi music, when she was 9 she decided to take up dancing and signing lessons and ever since then its been her passion, she has been to numerous festivals all over the world and this was to get a taste for what type of music she wanted to go into, she was singing in a club when a producer came in and spotted her,since then she has made numerous singles and is currently in the process of making her first album which will be released on a global scale.

Overall i think my pitch went quite well, i tried to get across the ideas of my magazine within the animoto presentation which i made, this was to try and allow for the others to see what different types of gernes i am going to use in my magazine, when i was asked questions there was a question about how i was going to atract different audiences if i only had 1 type of person on the front cover, so this has given the idea of changing the orignal i dea of my front cover, so now i am going to have 3 different sections on my front cover, i believe that some of my ideas about my colour palette was recieved well and the way in which i put across my name solved any questions about that, i was also qquestioned about the type of font which i am going to use, this was easy to answer as i had alrieady researched different types of font and i had selected to use a 3D font for my mastehad, and i then explained that i would use something more fromal for the general text which is going to be in the 2 page spread. However with this i changed my mind on subtitle fonts, i am going to use a cartoon type font and this is going to be relative for the reader, this is going to be with my genre of 2 page spread.

The name which i have decided to use has stayed the same as i like the idea of the name Diem, this is because ti represents what my magazine is about, everyone can enjoy it and Diem stands for Sieze the Day.

'Which institution would publish your magazine and why?'

International publishing Company, they are a very well known institution and they sell around 350 million magazines every year, they are the publisher for NME and this is a magazine which my magazine is going to be based upon, so this means that there will be very similar ideas in the magazines and this is why I would select IPC to publish my magazine as it will be targeted at the correct audience through the publishing company.

My Ideal Reader

Dan is 17, he enjoys going to music festivals and enjoys hanging around with friends, he is not the greatest academic achiever but his enthusiasm allows him to make his friends and he has been to 3 music festivals in the past year and is planning to go abroad with his friends next year to switzerland to the alpes to enjoy a weekend festival, the bands he is into is kasabian and kings of leon, he is also into some older jam music which him and his friends like to listen to just for fun.

Who Will Be On The Cover

For my cover i will select an Indie/ rock type person, be it male or female, they will be wearing something like a checkered shirt, skinny jeans or chinos, this goes with the type of music that is in the magazine, it is also there to give them a clue of what is in the magazine, for shoes i will expect the model will be wearing Vans or any plimsoll type shoe, they can also have the option to wear a hat, the clothes which they are wearing will have to go with the colour scheme also.

Double Page Spread

For my double page spread i am going to make a pretend interview about the cover model, this will consist of things such as the type of music they produce and the way which they got into music, it can also include things such as there background how they grew up and there opinion on how there career is going.

Font layouts

There are many fonts which i have looked at but the main font i have been paying attention to for things such as the title is going to be Slant, this will give a different dimension to the rest of the text as i am going to be using a more pencil type font, the slant font maybe improved through the use of making it 3D on something called Cinema 4D.

Colour Pallet

For my colour pallet i have used the 3 colour pallet idea, to do this i have used black and white, i will then incorporate the main colour of the clothing which the model is wearing to the magazine, this can be anything from the colour of there upper clothes or if there a girl there dress, the colour can then be carried out throughout the pallet for things such as the title.

Magazine Name Idea

For my magazine i have considered many different names but the one which i have thought about and have came to the conclusion that i will use is Diem, it stands for Sieze the Day, and that is what i want my magazine to be about, i want it to include everyone and to get everyone involved in the magazine as the bands that are to be in there will include a hole range of people.

Animoto

I think that this mood board represents what kind of reader i will be attracting, it will be mainly focused at an indie type scene, but it will also appeal to rock and rap followers due to the different sections that will be included within the magazine.
